York River Paddle Challenge  Rules And Regulations

1. ALL STARTING LOCATIONS OPEN AT 9AM ARRIVE EARLY
2. BOAT NUMBERS WILL BE AFFIXED BOTH FRONT AND REAR ON THE SIDE OF BOAT HULL ON OPPOSING SIDES
3. PARTICIPANT BIBS WILL BE WORN ON THE FRONT AND VISIBLE AT ALL TIMES
4. ALL NUMBER PLATES WILL BE RECORDED AT EACH CHECKPOINT
5. THE YORK RIVER PADDLE CHALLENGE SHARES ROADWAYS WITH MOTOR VEHICLE TRAFFIC DURING PORTAGES.
6. TRAVEL ONLY ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF PORTAGE ROAD
7. ADDITIONAL SIGNAGE WILL BE ERECTED BY VOLUNTEERS PRIOR TO THE EVENT TO ASSIST WITH NAVIGATION AND SAFETY. WE URGE YOU TO BE AWARE OF SIGNAGE AND RESPECT ALL CAUTIONS AND WARNINGS WHERE POSTED.
8. PLEASE OBEY COURSE MARSHALS THEY ARE THERE FOR YOUR SAFETY AND ASSISTANCE.
9. MANDATORY PRE EVENT MEETING MUST BE ATTENDED BY ALL PARTICIPANTS
10. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST FILL OUT THE [OMCKRA WAIVER] BEFORE PARTICIPATING IN THIS EVENT
11. BE A GOOD SAMARITAN ASSIST ANY PERSON EXPERIENCING DIFFICULTY ON THE COURSE AND NOTIFY EVENT PERSONEL OF THE SITUATION.

BCT Fares

Fares are based upon the distance traveled and will be quoted by Dispatch. Fares must be paid to the driver prior to the trip unless prearranged through your Agency. (See "Eligibility" for list of Agencies)
